An Introduction to it all...

'What is this blog, I am seeing?' you may well ask, and the answer might very well be in the tag line.  But truth be told, as of yet this blog has not found its form and what is most likely is that is quite soon the tag line will not offer the best description of what this is exactly. I intend this blog to speak on a number of things (and by things, i mean almost anything), and should mainly talk about my observations on sport, mainly in Europe, the nature of its participants and comments on the sporting world as well as reaction to some of the things that happen in it. 
  

But to give proper account, ladies and gentleman, I will tell you a little bit about myself. I am a student of history and language in the fine university of Maynooth. I started my course in my early twenties and I’d like to think that this has given me a different perspective on the whole college experience. For one, I think that having done it this way gives you a greater sense of what is required as well as an appreciation of all that takes place there. I’d also like to believe that I see a lot of interesting things happen throughout the course of living my life, be they happening to me, around me or in the wider infinity of it all and that somehow my opinion to these occurrences are of value to you, the reader.

I am a man, with many interests, who likes to enjoy life, gets a kick out of the darker senses of humour and who is quite fond of most types of music. I follow a number of sports which include football, rugby and anything that Ireland has a national side in. I would be most passionate in my support for Liverpool FC above all else when it comes to football but in recent years I have also begun to develop a liking for Barcelona.

          It is in the context of all that takes place from this month onwards, that everything that follows this introduction will talk about occasionally, giving mention to past historical events deemed relevant to the content of the post.

          I'm not sure whether or not to make promises and start dedicating what i'm going to write to the highest standards of journalistic endeavour or to consistently stick to the same subject or indeed tell you that this will be an interesting read, or not because to be fair, i think that what makes a good read for one person could well be worthy of pulping for another. So bearing this in mind, what i will say is, is that for the purpose of this observation, I will do my best to give clear and thought out posts in what should amount to writings about what i see, so that even if turns out that what will be written here, has no proper style, is boring or even offensive to some people, at least i will be able to say, 'hey, i've not promised you a single thing!'.
